Audio & Video

• Plain text translation only: $5 per minute
  • This rate decreases by 10% for each 15 minutes of audio, so 15+ mins will be $4.50 per minute, 30+ mins will be $4.05 per minute, and so on.
• Subtitled video: $7 per minute

Duration will be counted to the nearest minute (so⠀3 minutes and 26 seconds is counted as 3 minutes⠀and 8 minutes and 39 seconds is counted as 9 minutes).

I have my own self-care methods, too. When I have to act on top of that, though, I try not to prepare myself too much. With voice work, you can redo anything right there, but once you’ve recorded something, it does stay with you forever. If you’re left feeling like you just faked a line, you’re never able to forgive yourself. So, as much as possible, you want to really be able to really hear what you were feeling in that moment. If you prepare too much for it, it just comes off as a face you’re putting on.

Notes: Although I chose to translate this chapter in a way that'd make sense immediately upon reading it in English, the wordplay in Japanese is different and is worth knowing about. Yuzo has always called Sakyo "bouzu" or 坊主, which is a familiar way to refer to a boy much younger than you. However, the word 坊主/bouzu literally means a Buddhist monk, and in reference to Buddhist monks' shorn heads, can be used to refer to someone who is bald or has very close-cropped hair. In the same way, it's also a fishing term meaning to have caught no fish, and it's theorized that the term comes from those monks having no hair (no hair / no fish). So, Yuzo calls Sakyo "bouzu" and Citron gets confused, saying that Sakyo has a lot of hair (so he's not "bouzu" as in "bald"). Guy then corrects him and brings up the fishing meaning, and then says Sakyo shouldn't feel bad about his inability to catch fish. Sakyo then yells about how it's not the fishing "bouzu" Yuzo is using.
